Edie Ramer

Edie Ramer got her start selling short stories to print magazines in the 1990s, but her dream was always to sell her own books. Edie has won multiple awards with her books. She has had four agents and has had close brushes selling to New York publishers. One of the first romances she wrote was Cattitude, about a cat who changed bodies with a woman and kept her cat attitude. The Cattitude blurb was on her website, and people would ask Edie where they could buy it. When she decided to self-publish, Cattitude was the first book she put up. That was about fifteen months ago. Since then, she has published two other paranormal romances, one sci-fi romance, plus short stories and articles in anthologies. Edie's books have been on several Kindle bestselling lists.

Misty Evens and Edie put together Entangled, a Paranormal Anthology, with all proceeds going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Three NY Times best-selling authors contributed stories (Allison Brennan, Cynthia Eden and Jennifer Estep). Says Edie, "We’re all very proud of Entangled".

Right now Edie is writing her first novella, which she’ll publish in an anthology with two other writers. After that she plans to write a free short story for her newsletter subscribers. "I have the best readers and I love to hear from them", Edie says proudly.

It has been said that Edie is funnier on page than in real life. A multiple award-winning author, she writes stories about cats, dragons, aliens, ghosts and people with attitude. She lives in Wisconsin with her husband, two dogs, and one important cat.

Ramer has such a talent for creating characters who feel real, even when they're otherworldly… Six-year-old Birdie's irrepressible joy is contagious. It jumps off the page as high as Birdie herself (a little girl with a talent for levitation). And all of the women in this Galaxy Girls novella — Ki, Liss, Deena — are unique character creations with special skills that they put to use to help each other and to assist those they feel are in need. If you loved Galaxy Girls, you won't want to miss this humorous and heartwarming companion story, where potential love matches (and pheromones) are in the air and a couple of people in distress are given a helping hand.
